Judith A. McNally 1943-2023

Judith A. McNally, 79, passed away on March 16, 2023, at Linda Manor Extended Care Facility in Northampton. She was born in Springfield on May 30, 1943, to the late Mayona Edith Rising (Pease) & George Shepard Rising.

She is Predeceased by Husband John Michael McNally, her brothers Michael George Rising & Gerald Fred Rising along with her Sister Carrol Anne Fee (Rising) and let us not forget her loving pets Bubba, Rosco, Nicky and Isabella Rose.

She leaves behind her loving sister and best friend Betty Ann Cardaropoli (Rising) & her husband Antonio G. Cardarolpoli. As well as her 3 children Richard James Bergstrom, Eric Elwood Bergstrom & Laura Leigh Bergstrom and their spouses along with her 4 beautiful & kindhearted grandchildren and her 3 amazing great grandchildren. She also lovingly leaves behind many incredible nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

Judith was a charismatic and sarcastic soul who welcomed conversation with anyone lucky enough to catch her eye or who may have stumbled into her path while walking her dogs. She did not discriminate. She literally talked to anyone like they were family. She was fearless in that way.

She enjoyed camping, fiddle contests, the Valley Boating & Fishing Club, playing cards, going to the movies, and petting any animal that would give her the time of day while walking her dogs in Forest Park.

The family extends their gratitude and thanks to all the staff and new friends made at Christopher Heights of Northampton and Linda Manor Memory Care in Leeds for making the last few years of her life the best that they could possibly be.

Judith's Funeral will be on Friday March 24 at 2PM at St. Michael the Archangel Chapel Mausoleum in St. Michael's Cemetery, 1601 State St, Springfield, MA. Williamsburg Funeral Home in Haydenville has been entrusted with her cremation.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Alzheimer’s Association or Dakin Humane Society in her name.
