With sadness, we announce the passing of Charon Hill-Natle, 69, on Saturday, December 14, 2024 after a lengthy illness, surrounded by family.
Charon was born March 31, 1955 to Claude “Monty” and Ida Hill in Greenfield, MA. Charon has many names, like mother, sister and aunt, but, by far, her favorite was Grammy.
Charon worked for many years at Franklin County Public Hospital in Greenfield and F. M. Kuzmeskus driving school bus when her children were young. Charon also acted as hostess for many tour bus trips for the company, as well. She ended her working career as a facilitator for Yankee Candle in South Deerfield. A job which she enjoyed very much.
During Charon’s younger years, she was an avid bowler competing in many tournaments throughout the United States. Charon enjoyed traveling to warmer climates with her friends and family. She was an avid reader of crime drama and mysteries. After her retirement, Charon enjoyed her time with her grandchildren and working in her vegetable garden.
Charon is predeceased by her parents and her brothers Larry and Mark as well as her son, Matthew.
She leaves her daughter Cassaundra and her husband Ivan and their children Ivan, Leana and Talia, sisters Sandy Carey and Bonnie Lamore and many nieces and nephews.
Williamsburg Funeral Home in Haydenville is assisting the family. There are no calling hours but there will be a celebration of life in late March, 2025, on or near her birthday.
